Ruwa Worship
Ruwa Worship (pronounced roo-ah’) is defined as: to shout in joy or triumph, to raise a sound, cry out, give a blast, to shout a war-cry or alarm of battle. We are a group of musicians and worship leaders from the Fort St John area that was birthed out of the Kings Valley Christian Camp. Our mission is to carry forth the calling of John 4:23; to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. As a band we have always said that when we are preparing to lead worship we feel like we are preparing to go to war. Isaiah 42:13 says, "The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies." It's a reminder that God goes before us when we are warring in worship. He stirs up His zeal in us and raises a war cry and we follow Him and join in. He triumphs over His enemies and when we follow Him going to war in worship, we triumph over the enemy too. From the moment we engage in worship, we are lifting up our Ruwa!

Cliff Newbury
Growing up with an alcoholic, abusive father, Cliff understands the identity issues that impacted his self esteem, self worth and self confidence for many years by healing through stored emotional trauma and unhealthy core beliefs.
Months of counselling and reading, about emotional immaturity and health, was life alteringas his EQ and compassion for others flourished.
